Basically I don't ride with anyone immediately. They've got to prove they're not gonna endanger me, themselves or others while I'm with them. But if I first meet them and they aren't wearing gear, it'll be an uphill battle.

I agree with you. Most my buddies I ride with we mostly just cruise around, hit the twisties and then go grab a bite to eat....I went out riding with (my cousins boyfriend and he was a complete idiot...showed up at my house in a tshirt and shorts....and then when we hit the highway he was going over 100mph and popped a wheelie past me on the entrance to the freeway....needless to say I got off at the next exit and just rode by myself for awhile....he called me later and said he doesn't normally ride that way he was just "showing off" either way I haven't rode with him since.
