okay, a few questions since Im new to the whole paypal thing (well, new to the actual "having an account" thing)... Can I sign up for an account using a debit card? I dont have any credit cards, so that might be a problem. How exactly do the transactions work? Like do you have an online account with $X or is the money transferred to (in this case) my bank account? Any help is appreciated

Ok, here's the deal...Yes, you can use a debit card. When you make a transaction in which you are buying something, it will take it right off your debit card. As far as recieving money goes, it is best to use a personal checking account for direct deposit, but they can also mail you a check. Don't spend extra money getting their checking accounts or credit cards, you don't need it.

 

mines linked with my checking account. But no you dont have to have one. I have the PP debit card thingie too soI can spend any money I get in PP. Having a acct linked or a cc as backup funding just speeds up stuff.

Before i got my Paypal Debit card i had to sell like 5 things a month at least to qualify for it. I guess they changed the policy. And yes i have the premier business account i used to sell quite a bit of stuff on ebay.
