^^^ haha awesome. 4 seconds after i took this picture, i started walking inside and heard his engine rev pretty high. I was like 'oh ****, he lost it'...

Nope, he was just spinnin' the wheel for fun. I yelled at him to 'DO A WHEELIE!'... But my request was unanswered

I thought he wouldve yelled back "do a back flip!"

You guys ride bikes in snow as well? or is it only the crazy southerner that would do it? We get our share of our ice down here (hardly ever any snow) and I dont even trust cars on ice much less bikes ... I and a tree met once on black ice, never again

Trip ended up being one day short of 2 weeks long.... not too bad!Had a great time though.... got to spend the holidays with my family, see some old friends, and theneven meet some new friends too (you crazy ****'s!!). Ended up riding through all sorts of fun stuff... snow, slush, roadsalt, freezing rain, temps in the mid teens for hours at a time, heavy winds, and chopped up brick streets! Even did a lil off roading in a residential area where they were doing some major road construction north of Chicago[:-]

Got to meet up with 3 CBRF members.... catamayo85 andhondajunkie while up by Chicago, and FLYOU in Columbus, as well as one other guyfrom the Chicago forums, we met up and went for a ride through downtown Chicago. Gotta give a special thanks to Vinny (FLYOU) for his extended hospitality.... what a guy! I owe ya one Vin

Anyways, feels kinda good to be home. Gonna take a nice hot shower and go to bed

Oh yea, the welcoming committee was ecstatic upon my return! [&:]

KB then I would have broke yours too.... I dropped it off the seat of the bike right in the middle of the trip Now the auto focus just makes a bunch of clickety click click noises, and then it says system error

With the new info. I retract my offer! [8D]

Sounds like you had a blast on the trip though, looking forward to the detailed report. So I take it you managed to stay warm on the ride after buying some thermal socks?

Yes and no.... my dad gave me some thick wool thermal socks, and then I went and bought a new pair of heavyboots with Thinsulate insulation. That helped out tremendously!! My feet stayed toasty warm, until.... the ride from Decatur to Columbus. It was soooooo freaking cold that day, I stopped for a break MID DAY in Indiana and it was 16 degrees actual, 3 with the windchill (standing still). So for that kind of cold, nothing was working. I just had to stop every 50 miles or so and go inside where it was warm for about 30 minutes or so just to warm my feet up. That's why it took me 10 hours to go just under 350 miles. The rest of my body was perfectly warm though... had to bust out the heavy duty gloves but between those and the heated grips my hands were perfectly warm, and the rest of my body... I wasn't even shivering I don't feel ANYTHING through my leather jacket with a couple of layers under it! It was just my feet that were getting cold, well and then the whole ice build up thing on the inside of my visor, but that was just annoying, hahah
