That's insane bro. It's about 30 outside afterwork right now and it's just too dang cold to ride 30 miles down the hill. Maybe ifI had better cold weather armor I might think about it. But all I got is a vented leather jacket and pantswith the zip in liner.

Oh...and uhh...900 miles??? Holy crap that's a lot. I rode from Reno to San Francisco (about 220 miles one way) and was pretty sore only halfway through when I stopped for gas in Sacramento.

Nothing is "wrong" with it, it runs fantastic, but it does need tires VERY badly, and an alignment, and my left rear brake caliper is leaking fluidtoo. Sooo I'd rather not take it on a long trip right now, since I can't afford to put new tires on it for quite awhile, I need to make them last as long as possible. Gotta keep it drivable incase I actually do need it, so keeping the car on local duty for awhile

 

I rode bout 540 miles in one day.. and probably 200 of them were in 22-35F and I bout froze my as$ off.. Plus my butt was KILLING me.. had to stop every 100miles or so and let the blood run back into my legs. I cant see doing 900.. you going to do it all in one day? Dont get sleepy man.. if you need a break take a break.. No need getting yourself killed. I dont know what the roads are like, since on im the west coast but watch out for black ice..

god speed dude......like riding into the eye of the hurricaine...chicago weather can change drastically in a couple hours...can't remember a thankgiving where there WASN'T snow on the ground when I lived there...
