Just think about it, If you get a bike you will be able to run away faster from the cops after you go postal on your coworkers cause your so deep in debt and the bike pushed you over the edge.

oweing sux but BUY THE BIKE. The bills will always be there. Riding makes you happy n less stressed. I'll be bikeless when they pry my dead fingers from my bikes grips.
When I had my bike I was actually happy for a change. I even saw good in people which is something I haven't done since I was 18. I do feel I saved money because I rode my bike everywhere so gas wasn't a concern. The bike was paid for and I had a paid off S10(That is now out of commision). I did get a CBR600 F3 for a project bike and that has sucked up my money. But once it's done I'll leave it alone.

Yet within the constant frustration of "Why can't my bike be ready now" of a project bike. I was really considering going out and buying a new bike. The weather here in Georgia was great and there were bikes everywhere. I thought about getting a SV1000 or even a Suzuki DZM400. Something fun for the mountains. I know I could afford it being I don't have a vehicle payment, live with parents, and very little debt. The only problem was I work a hard dead end job. I move pool tables. 6 days a week for atleast 8hours and sometimes even up to 18hours I work. Yet I don't make a lot of money. When I get a chance I'm going to apply to some local technical colleges and try to get into something like Paramedics, Radiology, or even Nursing becuase I need a better career and I enjoy medicine.

So while at a Suzuki dealership and eyeballing the SV1000. I realised that trying to get a job where I make $55k or more a year is going to be better than me having just enough money to live and pay insurance plus bike payment for years to come. Or worste yet making just enough money to rent a room out and pay my bills for the rest of my life. It sucks becuase I haven't been riding in over a month and have put a decent bit(For me atleast) of money into my bike. But I should have it done shortly and that will be my transporation to and from school wherever I go. On top of my friends going out and getting brand new bikes just becuase they rode my old bike once and decided to get one (Yet most don't even have jobs).

The main problem is with me going to school I'll have to get some part-time job doing burger flipping or something where I won't be able to afford a bike. Which means I want all my debts paid off.

If you are dead set on staying on a bike. I'd get a cheaper used. Not as nice as a 600rr or whatever. But atleast you'll be on two wheels and can take care of some of your debt at the same time.

But your FUTURE is the most important thing.

Haha I love the ads. Well, the one card is paid. I doubt I'll be able to get another bike in '08 (maybe end of the season, if I'm lucky). Come on, christmas bonus!

Good choice Madgeek. Eliminate the debt then worry about the bike. Start saving up for the kids college too. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance to tackle my college debts while I've been in school. I graduate in May with a hefty price tag. [&o]

I bought my bike and was barely getting by with a dead end job (rent, bike payments, and insurance were a killer). I was hit by this lawyer and used the money topay off the bikethree years early (funny story in itself). After seeing how hard it is to get by on a dead end job, I decided to take on an extraordinary amount of debt ($35K) and get a bachelor’s degree. I'm still rolling around on the ol F3 andit's been great to me. My plan is to stay where I'm at living situation and keep the bikewhile paying off my school loans aggressively (hopefully in a couple years). On the positive side, I'll havea double major in a couple weeks!!!!
