This is all great advice. I appreciate everyone taking the time out of their day to help me out. I will have her look into getting into a course sooner than first planned. Keep the advice coming. Thanks all. And the one that said get a ZX-14 needs a brain scan.

RE: Need some advice.
I have been teaching my wife to ride her 250 (over the last year). Let me say, that I do not have the skills to match an MSF course. Her work schedule does not allow her to take the class without also taking vacation. I HATE the fact that I am teaching her, because we are talking about my wife's ability to ride and stay alive. We have had a scare or two, and I want her to take the class. Fortunately for me, she has alot of experience with dirt bike and quads, and has great insticts. You mention that your girl can hardly drive...that concerns me. Do you feel confident that you can teach her everything she needs to know? I want you to buy a book and have her read it...and you, too. The book is "Proficient Motorcycling" by David L. Hough link . Take it WAYYYYY slow, and have her ride in an open parking lot. Good luck!

For what it's worth, I think she needs to become a good defensive driver in a car first before she gets on a bike.
She'll have to be thinking about so much in terms of controls and developing riding skills that she will have difficulty focusing on what's going on around her, just my honest opinion I don't want to see anyone get hurt here.
She should take the msf before she gets a bike, that'll help a lot. Practice with her afterwards in minimal to no traffic and make sure she has her head in the game. My gf drives like a lunatic sometimes which is why I will kill her if she ever got a bike, luckily she is too smart to do so.
