RE: NEED HELP WITH IPOD THINGY
No, but they need to be in the right format for the iPod to read it. They need to be in .mp4 format.
I have converted all of my DVD's and TV Shows to iPod format from a awesome little program called "Handbrake". I think they've merged with someone else and it's now called "Media Fork".........either one you can download.

It was originally made for a Mac, but their new "Media Fork" is for Windows too.
Never had a problem with it (unless they're DVD's from Sony Pictures.) I have yet to find a DVD to iPod converter to convert Click and Casino Royale (they have some crazy protection on them) to iPod format.
Also, if you load up a movie through Quicktime (you need Quicktime Pro by the way), you can save any file as an iPod movie file. Just "Save as" as an iPod movie in the drop down menu.
Now, to copy your movies to your iPod, just take the .mp4 files (granted, you already setup your iPod to "manually manage music and videos"). Just drag and drop them into your iTunes library......name them, organize them........download the movie covers for the files.........then drag and drop them onto your iPod.
That's it. Should work great. (BTW....a 2 hour movie is just about 500 MB, so a cheap external hard drive to store all the movie files onto works great!)
If you need any help, let me know. I'm what you would call an "Apple Expert", lol. They do make some damn good products.
