always good to hear someone made it out in one piece...my hip is still giving me problems after 2 weeks so I'm sure you'll be hurting and you're right...ibuprofen is the bomb, modern medicine is a biker's best friend lol. just gotta hop back on, till then rest up and calm your nerves

So sorry to hear about your mishap Jules .. its refreshing to hear someone not trying to find blame elsewhere and knowing something could always have been done better but no sense beating yourself up about it "sheet happens", sad to hear about the bruises but any wreck you can walk away from with just bruises is okay .. just had a friends mom whose been riding for over 30 years have her leg amputated after a wreck .. count your blessings. wish you well in your recovery.

you ride with full leathers around town? KUDOS to you on that, I thought I was doing something just wearing shin guards once in a while but generally I don't do too much for leg protection .. boots, jacket, helmet, gloves yes but I get lazy around the leg protection part.
No, I know it was all my fault ..it was my fault for taking it out when I wasnt up to it ... it was totally my fault for hitting the car too, but do you know something as brief as that ride was I felt wonderful as I sang her up through the gears for the first time in nearly six months ... just to feel the bike again and the whine of it up through the gears has almost been worth it ..I know it sounds mad but its true ... I rode my bike today :-) ..today was a good day, I am ok and I will fix the bike up over the winter ... I am off the road now so will take my time and source all parts from ebay etc.. its late here and dark out now so I will take some pictures tomorrow.

Yes, I tend to always put on my full leathers ... my intention was for a brief spin but if I felt up to it I would have gone a bit further .. I feel a lot better about it all now than when I first posted this in the morning .. I have already made some bids on some fairing panels :-)

Jules

EDIT: by the way this was my first crash in 17 years of riding .. I never knew they sounded so loud ..gosh it was some crunch sound I can tell you ..lol

Hey Jules, damn im sorry to hear about your crash. We are all very glad that you are ok, hope you heal up soon. Bikes come and go but there is only one Jules. All the best for your speedy recovery.

+100000 on having your full leathers on, you are a great example to the other "skin crayons" that ride our roads in a t-shirt and shorts, or your injuries would have been much worse.

oh noez...crunched camera and bike...and a roughed up kitteh. [:@]

My first idea was to be like Shadow and print big, colorful letters and words showing how much we care lol...but then you mentioned that, at least you got to ride. Hooray! I mean, kind of a heavy price, but you were still out there anyway.

And, um, excuse me, but let me get this straight. Female. Blonde. Slim. British accent. Full leather one piece. I think if my heart beats any faster it may jump out and bounce around the keyboard. lol

So sorry about your tumble, luv. If you need proper spanking discipline, um, I am available. lol

Way ahead of you on the getting 'straight' part... and Jules, good to hear you are OK.
