I get it all the time and have been riding since I was 11 years old. I have indeed dodged alot of bullets and Thank God I'm still here today. I have a 2 year old and another son coming in september and I tell my wife its going to be a great challenge for me because I allready have my two year old riding and he loves it. I worry though because the fact is we do get crazy on sportbikes and stunting is just a part of my nature. I want to teach my son to practice this things in a protected invironment and not act as I did when I was a kid or even know. People don't tell you that cause they want to upset you, they tell you because its a fact and when someone you love gets hurt in one it hits home. I've broken ankles, had over 150 stitches here and there and a hold bunch of roadrash, and I don't wish the pain on anybody. I have mellowed out after all that and just love to ride, But the fear of another accident is allways with me when I ride, and the fear of my son doing as I did will allways be with me. I've had alot of friend get killed on bike and it does hit home. When people tell you that don't let it bother you, but instead tell them your glad there conserned and you will be careful. Be safe guys you all are still young. Johnnyh

What I like to say is that if you are a Christian and you believe that God has a plan then it doesn't matter what you are doing when it is your time. I also follow JohnnyH and just thank them for being concerned and let it go. My own parents refuse to watch me race. My mom can't even watch me ride out of the driveway when I visit. So it is going to happen and you just have to deal with it the best way you can.

what's the quote..."I'd rather be sitting on my motorcycle thinking about God, than sitting in church thinking about my motorcycle."

Or something to that effect.

I tell them that I am a grown *** man and will ride if I want to. In that respect, I really do not talk to my family much. I think they know I will not put up with their shyt. Love it and shut your pie hole.

People like that are either scared of bikes, or someone in their lives won't let them get one.
Ask them which and see what happens.

My parents dont care now that me and my lil brother are older, i used to take tons of crap from my mom back in the day...Along with my ex girlfriend who no cannot stay off a bike, hell she begs me for rides all the time since she sold hers

Way i figure i ride with a helmet, when i'm not on the bike i carry a gun, but neither of em will keep me from gettin struck by lightning tomorrow morning when i open the front door.

Ya only live once, when its your time its your time no matter what your doing
