Default Motorcycle shipping services

Anyone know any good motorcycle shippers? I'm going to school in Oregon and need to move my bike from San Diego to Corvallis in september and again at the end of school.

When I had to have mine transported I did a Google search for some companies. I then emailed 5-6 of them and picked one based on the type of reply I received, the time it took to reply and the cost.

What were some of the names of the companies, and how much did you end up paying? I got a quote for $621 which seems like waaaay too much. My dad got his CJ8 shipped from Texas for only a couple hundred.

I had mine shipped over 3 1/2 years ago. I don't remember the company names but I found the one I used via a Google search. I think I paid around $275 for a 450 mile trip from Chattanooga to St. Louis. The owner of the company was based in FL but he had a business partner in St. Louis and he was coming up there anyway and Chattanooga was right along where he was going anyway.

Like I said, email some of the companies, get quotes and find the best price.

I may end up renting a pickup and driving up with a buddy of mine. I have to ship my motorcycle and a few other things such as a desktop computer (for school).
