Why is it that people are worried about showing thier license plates in photographs? You always see them blacked out or blurred... but I don't know why.

License plate blurring is to prevent thieves or internet psychosmore than the Government. Whichas a government hating fool I want the gove with the least amount of info on me as possible but I know I can only do so much.
Many blur it out while doing street racing, stunts, etc on public roads out of fear the local police will scan the 10billion forums looking for you. Which the reality is the police can't really do anything with your license plate unless you have a clear plate and your face is clear in a continuous stretch of footage that doesn't change frames. If that's the case then you're racing/stunting without a helmet and you deserve to get your butt whooped.
