It's Totaled
Got an estimate a little while ago from my highside...........$8600 in parts alone, not even counting labor. I had to ask the service manager again just to make sure I heard him right the first time. I was expecting like $4k or approx in parts, but not more than the bike is worth! These were of course honda parts and prices too, but $8k!
Sorry man, be sure and ask the adjustor what his fee is... as I believe it will come right off the top of the offerd settlement. It was 100$ for me 20 yrs ago... and no, they never told me up front (before) the actual check. I'll bet it more now. Sneeky.

Dwight,
My hunch is you knew that would happen, yes? I hope the insurance company treats you fair because it seems like it is their job NOT to. If there are two silver linings the first is...you came out sore but alive and two...at least it's not the beginning of the riding season. Which color RR are you gonna get?

Well, i guess when it is not on an esembly (ugh, looks spelled wrong, but i'm too lazy to look it up) line the parts are more expensive. I agree it sounds crazy when a new bike costs around 9k and they probably dont have to replace EVERYTHING, but the 9k bikes have cost cutting procedures.
