Default Insurance Fraud

I just got the notice of renewal through for my old bike, an NSR 125...

Now I'm a year older, a year wiser and have another Years no Claims. Add to that the bikes older and I no longer work around alcohol, then be sure to change nothing else about my life or the cover I [no longer, but not the point] require.

Why, in the name of the Lord of Risk Assessment, has my premium increased by over Ł200???

The standard response thrown at me was that my age bracket must have been racking up the claims, but it hardly seems fair to penalise me, a time-proven 'safe' rider, to such a great extent. I smell a lack of profit in an economical downturn...

I did a quote with them for my new CBR and was quoted over Ł2k for a years fully comp...I may be 22 but I'm not stupid, and I'm not paying that! These guys were, hands down the most competative on price and cover last year, how much has changed?

Has anyone else had similar issues with their insurance recently?

yea it happened to me as well, when i turned 21 my rates went down $250 and then when i hit 22 they went back up by $500. then i added my motorcycle and i got some money off for a multipolicy discount but they charged an extra 50 a month because that is how much the sellers commsion is. i hate insurance they just add money to the policy because they can it is not like you wont pay because if you have no insurance and get pulled over you get in trouble and if something happened to yourself of your vehicle your screwed.
