If you had a serious spill (wreck)
yea when it gets cold the plates n screw hurt a little. not too bad but it gets annoying. and my back hurts if i land hard on a dirt bike or quad and if i bottom out the sled (which is alot lol)
it'll get worse with age lol
eh my step dad seems to b doin just fine, but hes also on all different types of meds. he was worse then me when he was my age. you could take all the the plates pins n screws in our bodies n have a full erector set lol
I'll stop when I'm dead. I'm 19 Ive broken over 30 bones, i have screws n plates in both my wrists and ankles. i have 6 crushed inverted vertebrate in my lower bike, first time i wrecked a bike i was 14 on an R1 going 60MPH. Ive rolled my four wheelers plenty of times, wrecked them. wrecked my fair share of snowmobiles, and have wrecked pretty bad on dirt bikes. a few times i was hesitant about getting back on, but if I've learned two things in life its if it ain't scaring the s**t out of you it ain't worth it. and if it ain't dangerous it ain't fun
Do you have the card for the airport security.

Some peeps that get into riding for not necessarily the right reasons in the first place and may stop after a bad crash ....
but ... ANYONE that has been bouncing off the road, the dirt, the trees, since they were a little kid ( like I was ) ...LOL , is destined to prolly take there last breath just before slamming into the stationary object that ends more than there riding career ...
I see all to often, guys that have the ye old " mid life crisis " get a road ride , and then have some pathetic little accident and then they go crawling under there rock to hide , never to ride again ...
Ok ...that may be the fate of many , but as for me ...om way to stupid to let a few , ( of which I have had many!! ) crashes of different types ...(way !! too many to post here
) to let a little bounce off a moving vehicle or slide off the road , to cause me to go hide in my car ...***** ...
Take it from me ....some dudes are just meant to ride and some are not ....
GIVE UP ?????? NOT BLOODY LIKELY ....
lol
They can take my friggin key off me in the morgue

Im only 18 and Ive rode dirt bikes and this will be my second year on my F4i and all the old timers I ride with say that there are two types of riders, the ones who have been down and the ones who are gonna go down. We can't control what going around us, so if I survive a wreck, I figure that is a sign to be a more causious rider. I just couldnt give up a sport for someone elses doing and if it was my fault I would improve myself. It doesnt matter if I ever get paralyzed, as long as I'm still breathing, I'm riding, and thats why I think the Can-Am Spyder would be good for a rider who is paralyzed. Gear saves your body, helmets save lives, we need them both cause you never know when.
yea i have the card for the airports but most of the time you dont need it. just show em the scars n the swipe it with the wand. CBRclassic i completely agree with you. i havent been down as much as you, but i have sure as s**t gone down alot and i still get up and hop right back on. ive only wrecked a bike once, but all the rest were on dirt snow or flying into corfields. n believe me snow does nothing to soften your slam into the frozen ground and corn hurts like hell.
