I am not sure Pete .. I will check and ask when I go back ..I know they built the new one because the old one had problems with shallow water at low tides plus they now have a new life boat ..a Tamar class ..
When we have stayed in Tenby harbour itself you often hear the boom in the night and when you look out the window you see them all rushing down to the station .. its amazing how quickly you see them running and the next thing theyre launched and motoring off out to sea!!

Rod, it floats ..those legs its standing on are its own and they are retractable ... when in position it just lowers the large legs and raises itself up ..
