Default How Does A "Adjustable" Steering Damper Work?

Van is giving me a gsxr damper for my 929 (to fiddle with)

and of course i did something dangerous and started thinking.... if you removed the allen screw from the damper, screwed in a 90deg. brass fitting, off that fitting screw in a small stainless line on the other side....

then take a small piece of aluminum and drilled a hole in it/thread it then... screw a brass nipple on one side to attach your braided line...

then put a allen screw or any screw/bolt on the other side haven't you in fact just made a stock damper "adjustable" by filling the entire thing with whatever weight oil, then turning the allen screw in or out you would be adjusting the pressure inside the damper....

wouldn't this work? not that i really care im just needlessly rambling

lol see this is what happens when i get bored.... on and you could even throw a t fitting in there and run a pressure gauge so you can know what your "adjusted" to

No idea how if this would work, but you can write an app that lets you see the pressure that you are adjusted to on your phone, right from the comfort of your home
