Question How did u pay for your bike?

so financially how did you guys payed for your bike? Was it cash up front or was it a loan, however it is i want to get an idea. because im planning on spending about 5k on a bike, but was wondering if i should get a loan from the bank and build some credit while im at it. so give me some ideas.

Its up to you and if you have a 5K just laying around. I personally did not have that 5k in cash so i had to get a 48 month loan which is 120 a month. I pay more every month on the principle so there is less interest compounded on it. Paying cash lets you have the title in hand so if a better deal comes up you can always trade then and there and then no more payments.

Paid 4500 for my 06 F4i. Spotless with 2.5k miles on the clock.

Took the entire price out of savings. Didn't have enough for a new one, so bought used.

I paid 3000$ with only 15k on it, gave the dealer 500$ the day b4 christmas and went in every week or two over the winter and had it paid off by my birthday in april.

I paid 1,180 for my 900rr cash up front because I didnt want to not have the tital and I also bought it private party lol.. but I wont take a loan out on a bike because i dont think its smart in my opinion.

I gave what ever I was able to pay, the deal was it had to be paid off by spring. So it worked out great because I had no interest and no banks to deal with. I also used tim hortons coffee to bribe everyone there for a month or every time I went to the dealer to look at bikes that had not sold yet, then we became friends and now I dont pay taxes when I go there $10 of coffee every saturday for maybe 2 months goes along way.
