i love how people dig up old posts ;-)

one thing to consider aside from HP is the weight of the bike...and the better suspension...both of which would only affect a squid negatively anyway (e.g. how soon he/she crashes after buying the bike).

Cheers to digging up old posts! I am going to find something super old and post, just b/c I can, LOL. Oh yeah, and I love my F1.

A few of my Gixxer 1K buddies are always a little surprised when I'm right behind or not far behind them during our runs. All of the guys who run them have more riding experience than I do, so they're already better, let alone they have a faster bike. But as long as we're not doing straights, I'm pretty close.

It's also fun to be faster than half your group when you have a passenger and they don't

I've always believed that the "old" bike that you get rid of for the new one, will end up being someone else's dream bike. And as sure as, within a short time someone else blows past on a newer model than yours. That's wot the bike manufacturers are in business for.
Spec sheets mean nothing in the real world, day to day riding, with greater restrictions on speed limits, better speed detection & higher penalties, its a wonder where not all delegated to mopeds.

You guy's must be bored to tears.

I now have a still "old" F2 and a relatively new 2004 600RR.

Whcih btw, I have some pics of, or soon will, in about 5 minutes in the 600RR section.

I'm with you on that one. Let me know if and when you do the FI conversion. I may do it myself if it don't cost to much.I really don't have a problem with my carbs. My bike starts right up when it's less then 20 degrees out.

When I seen my F4 sitting in the showroom I feel in love. I always loved the F4's back inthe day, but could never get one. The price was in my budget soI got her and have loved her ever since.
