How about Exhausted Topics lol
haha...tru dat.

A name change is certainly due, what with all the new direction to stay on topic in the off topic forum.
Shoort ... the ability to change the name of the individual area might work. Or it could send us straight to internet hell. I have been promising a forum upgrade for 6 months (you mentioned that somewhere else) and I am still promising it. But there are no excuses. I can only relay updates as I get them. The geeks are working hard on it and everything was going smoothe until the last forum went **** up. So a halt was ordered and we wait. Believe I have been more than upfront about the upgrade and will continue to do so.

so this forum is going to be stricly motorcycle? off topic was my favorite place, never saw a forum that didnt have a spot for off topic stuff....I agree with whitedealershiprice "it will kill the forum, almost as fast as hitting a switch." I dunno what exactly happened to make the change but dont kill the forum in the process of trying to clean something up.
Apparently someone DID NOT read the C.O.C. Please take this time to read it so you will not ask questions are make statements that have ALREADY been answered about the Off Topic section. Here is a link to that.

C.O.C.

Also a quote from it........
"Contrary to popular belief, CBRF is a motorcycle forum and as such every post in every section in every area should at least vaguely be motorcycle related. This is not to say you can not post a thread wishing a member happy birthday or congrats on a baby or the like. There will still be some leniency in Off Topic for threads of general interest to the majority of the members. So if you post up a top ten things to do with green snot thread do not be surprised or hurt when it goes missing and you are contacted by the staff."

A forum name suggestion...no, I like where this has gone already. The COC of SeeBarf is out in the open, breezy, firm, available to all. I am glad and excited to see it. It reassures me. Kind of I want to touch it.

Yes, this is a motorcycle forum...and we have PLENTY ofsectionsto talk about motorcycles right down to the very model that you own. It is assumed that if you are posting in the Off Topic section, you own a CBR. That is what makes us all similar and what brought us here, but there's really no good reason that EVERYTHING we talk about has to be motorcycle related.

If this is truly the stance of the mods, then a name change is MOST CERTAINLY in order. The term Off Topic implies that we ARE NOT talking about motorcycles...also, I wouldn't let the description for this particular section of the forum read "A place for you CBR junkies to boldly go off topic. almost anything goes."

Anybody else see any contradictions???

Yeah.. I like talking about off topic stuff. It gives a chance to kind of get to know eachother a little better.. Hearing their points of views on things and whats going on in a persons life, it really helps everyone to know eachother a little better. I love talking about bikes, but thats not the only thing I enjoy talking about. I really enjoy hearing what you guys have to say on all kinds of topics, and thats part of why I like it here so much.

If you want to cite only parts of things then I can show you a religious book that says "commit adultery".

You may have also missed the part where I said messing with the forum titles may bring the site down ... no one knows for sure so we will not risk it.
