So, Insurance equals tires and oil yearly, plus a bit? Not really so bad when we consider that injury/disability etc. could really pay off.
Most of us don't think twice about a $500 mod...
Peace of mind is worth a bit... And I don't even have dependents, kids, alimony...

I have short / long term disability + health through my job so I didn't opt for those coverages. If I didn't have them through work, I might have opted for them through my insurance policy. Right now for just liability I paid $200 for the year.
