Ever told to move up to liter?
I've heard guys say that riding a 1000 is real riding, which I always took as a sign of mental retardation, but I had a girl say I need to "man up" and get a 1000cc. Since women are crazy I know to disregard that statement but I never expected it from a girl. I know that bigger = better for most women but never heard any complaints about a bike before.

Too be honest I have never seen the point of riding a 1000.. Any 600 will get the job done..I would like to see those people who ride 1000's get through the canyon any faster than I do. I beat my friends on their 954's and 750's through the canyon everytime. Just cause they can go 200mph doesn't mean that you CAN do that through twistys. I wanna see that girl do the "real ride" maybe she can race me through some turns.. hell I'll jump on a 500cc and get it done.

yep.... i like to ask them if they've ever really pushed a 600 to see what it can do.... yea sure they've pushed a 1000cc in a straight line, but anybody who can roll a wrist and pull in a clutch can do that.... usually when someone says you need to get a 1000, i just smile and say okay

+1 Jd
There can be no argument that the CBR600 will out run the bigger bikes on some if not all tighter roads.
My old girl goes like a train , but at no time would I try to race a dedicated CBR600 rider unless the road had a **** load of very very long straight sections in it ..

Ride what ya like ... if the 'girl' wants to pay for your new 1kRR then decide to like the liter
But remember also that cars out corner and go faster than bikes (ya, with a big $$$$ investment) and 1k's go faster than 600's. It is just the way it is. No question that some 600 riders are more skilled than 1k riders but put that rider on a 1k and lap times will be faster. On the street who cares? Ride like a squid, die like a squid
