Joseph Weizenbaum recently passed away. In 1966, Mr. Weizenbaum created a computer program called Eliza. Eliza is basically a computer therapist based on a "Rogerian Therapist," where the majority of the "therapy" is basically rephrasing statements made back to the "patient." If anything it's more of a parody of a therapist than a simulation or emulation.

Anyway, I remember playing this back in the 80's on my Commodore 64. My friend and I were pretty baffled by it...

Yeah, there might be better written versions if you really care....just do a quick google search for Eliza.

Ya this program is super old. I remember this crap in chatrooms back in 1997.
