Dealer price rant
Walked into a somewhat local dealer yesterday and saw a 2002 954 sitting there and it looked to be in pretty good condition. Since that will most likely be my next bike when I get tired of mine, I asked about the price. I was told $7,200, but that 2 of the pistons were "dead". WTF??? These things are going for $5k on eBay and the one they have has dead pistons, so more $$ in repair?
Then the guy goes on to try and sell me a new 2006 CBR1000 for only $8k I'm sorry, but if you got a 2006 with full warranty to sell for $8k, then you can certainly afford to sell the 954 that needs work for significantly less. Even funnier was the 929 Erion edition bike for $7,800[:@]

Dealers know that they are one of the few people that can finance you. As for me I just go down to my local credit union, ask for a loan, and buy a private party bike.
