DAMNIT!
Yeah, but this town has a bunch of clics and groups of friends, that persist after high school. Cuz I'm 2 years graduated and still dont get much conversation from the kids in my class. Also, I'm not in his circle of friends, but nobody who rides is anyways. I saw him at my work one day so I asked him about it nicely, I complimented him too, and said we should ride. He kinda looked at me like I was an idiot and said sure. Thats why I was pissed off, because its all for show, he just wants the bike to look "badass" I guess. This town is full of people who want to look rich, but dont really have the money. So it's not like I didn't give him a chance, im not going to jump to conclusions on someone right away like that, at least I try not.

This is kindof off the original topic -
The frustration goes deeper than just the new bike, cuz we used to hang out back when we paintballed. Then he quit our team onbad terms(walked off the feild and wouldnt play anymore, so we had to play a player short each game). That was a big deal at the time cuz we were division3 xball players and we were ranking well, we actualy thought about playing divison 2(which is the equivalent of minor league teams). He was our back player and bitched cuz he wanted to play up more, but he wasn't fast enough and I was our main front. We both talked to the capt. and hedecidedto keep me in the snake/zipper/front.Soon after he quit we switched to NPPL 7-mans because we didnt have enough people to play 10 man x-ball, nor the time. We rankedtop3in Amature A tournies around the country for a while. Then he wants to come back in his old spotbecause we were doing really well, better than we ever had,and we told him he can play as a benchman, only playing when we had an injured player, or they needed a break. Even though he was clearly better than our current back player we couldnt just let him take his old position back. So he was pissed about that, but none of this was my fault, I was just the front player and protested about him taking my positon on the feild, causing him to quit. IDK why people always want front, just because you get the most tags andthe most "glory" even though9 times out of 10 you're the first person out of the game. This was the "good 'ole days" when we used to make our money by playing paintball. I actualy was making about $5-10k a year(at age 16)playing paintball, but about half that was reinvested into playing the sport.
TheX-
I didnt meanI wanted him to drop his bike,I just think itsa bad decision finnancialy andfor safetyfor someone to buy a brand new bike as their first bike.Especially someone who is 18 and never ridden anything before.Iwas joking anyways,I would never want a rider to drop their bike, especially a brand new one. Then again, we could argue with each other for days about opinions, thats why they're opinions.
its only natural to be a bit jealous of someone for having something that you want. but im in college and i just bought my first bike (02 600 f4i) and when i park on campus next to brand new rr's and r6's, it makes me a little jealous. but then i look to my right at some bike, and i know he is wishing that he could afford what i have.
so just be happy that you have a bike, and if you want a new rr, save up and buy one.
and a lot of college kids get money from their parernts. my buddy has a h2, another friend has a 06 vette, another dude has an m3. the list goes on. and if my parents wanted to buy me a brand new rr dont think i would hesitate to take them up on it

It seriously frustrates me to see how the young people in the US are going to wreck what's left of our economy. Wealth is something that everyone wants, but they don't want to take the time to accumulate it. And yes, wealth is something that must be accumulated unless you are in the top 1% of society and have inherited wealth, won the lottery, or come up with a great idea.
Kids these days want the latest and greatest things, and they want them NOW. Quit buying stuff on credit, dammit! The only thing that should be financed is a house... MAYBE a car... NEVER a bike! The only exception to this rule is if it is a collector's piece and will appreciate in value. (HINT: 99.9% of all CBR's, gixxers, r1's, etc... DO NOT appreciate in value!)
If you want a new bike bad enough, you'll think if ways to get the money. Here are a few ideas: 1) sell some stuff on eBay 2) only buy beer every other weekend 3) cut out a fast food meal during the week and make yourself a turkey sandwich 4) save all your loose change in a jar
