Default A crying SHAME!

So my buddy bought an 03 R-6 last year, the red and black limited edition. Used of course but mint. He went down once cause of a beaver in a turn and it didn't need much work. He had paid 6600 for her and put around 400 in accessories into her. Ealr spring he wrecked his fathers car fairly bad and his family isn't all that well off. His father was forcing him to sell her and he was askin 5500. Just found out yesterday that his dad complained and moaned so much the kid ended up selling for 2500 bucks! An 03 with less than 8,000 on her. Just some scuffed plastic. And some sap got her for 2500 bucks no strings attached. The kid was like crying that he had to sell her. Now that is what I call a terrible situation. I wish he had told me about selling it for 2500, I'd have taken it off his hands, worked something out to get it back to him as soon as his father had stopped being so rash about it. Sucks bigtime.

I say go punch his dad for being a boob and *****, tell his dad to stop being a bum and get a phuxn job so he can put some insurce on that car and to leave his boy alone,, you do not make your son sell his crap to cover your car cuss he was in a wreck, that is what insurce is for. sure maybe your son can help pay for some of it by getting job also, but you do not complain and moan like a baby,, just be happy your son is ok. god I hate guys that are ***** to there sons like that....

maybe it's just me and the way i was raised, but i see the father's view on this one. if it was the guy's fault he should man-up and take the responsibility for his actions. forcing him to sell his stuff to pay is a little extreme, but i could totally see the dad making him pay the deductable and the amount of increase in premiums. that's only fair.

but missing out on a deal like that is horrible. and i admire you bblinebacker. not many friends would offer to buy the bike cheap and sell it back once the situation blows over. oh, and the story about wrecking because of a beaver? am i the only one who doesn't think it was caused by a woodland animal?

lol...

that was a pretty good deal though! i live in a college town and i see some crazy deals sometimes because students are hard-up for money for one reason or another.

example: an 06 ninja zx6r w/less than 1000 miles... *drum roll please* $4500

another example: 97 900rr... $2000. i know the dude who bought it and he just put it up for sale for $3000... lol

hmmm. college town and i see from your sig that you're from so. illinois. maybe carbondale? i only ask cause i have a buddy/co-worker from olney that's constantly buying cars off siu students for rediculous prices and reselling for a profit. and a 97 900rr for $3000? tell him to raise the price another grand, it should still easily sell for that!

The beaver (provided it is a true story) is why he went down on the bike... The car on the other hand was taking a turn too fast... He's a 21yr old college student graduatin next fall (late a semester)... lives at home... father owns his own business that is very seasonal... i understand making him sell it, but for that, OUCH. really a cryin shame...
