Default Crying

Every year the bike drops a $1000 in value. I wish supersports had better resale value but I dont plan on selling it for aleast 3 years its just the thought of if i had too thats all i would get

Atleast those values are better than every auto/truck on the road. I bought a 2004 Mountaineer in 2003 (MSRP of $38,000) and the NADA "avarage" retail is only $23,000...and trade is just at $20,000. That's almost 50% in 2 years.

You loose two grand just driving it off the lot (I have relatives that have sold bikes)

That's life man. Think about it this way. If in fact you do lose $3000 over 3 years, that equates to $2.74 a day. Ask yourself, is it worth it?

Now stop crying and go enjoy your bike.

Well i know i didn`t buy it for the resale value, Great fun to be had, don`t worry about it.

i don't buy a bike to sell it or even cars for that matter
drive / ride until the wheels come off is my motto !

remember depreciating assests pay cash for...appreciating assets nothing down (if concerned about it, buy a bike you can pay cash for...older bike that won't depreciate much at all...there is a floor to how low they will go)

you bike is the best TOY on the planet

ps - I do feel your pain though...bought a '05 600RR (new) and think I'm going to step up to the 1000RR or RC51 (not sure) this next year.
