Mine was this last March 24th. Very similar to crachkhanman's except add to his details some road debris and a guard rail.

I was riding outside my limits and the conditions of the road at the time. Entered a corner that I was way to comfortable with a little to hot and hit a patch of gravel, ended up low siding into a guard rail.

Bike suffered about $1500 worth of damage. Needed forks, front wheel, triples, right clip-on, brake lever and plastics. A few other tid bits here and there, but that is the majority of the needed repairs.

I was wearing all of my street gear. Helmet, gloves, jacket, riding jeans and track boots. I did not receive a single scratch and very thankfull for it. I did receive a minor seperated shoulder due to the impact to the gaurd rail, but it could of been a LOT worse considering the circumstances.

All in all it was a huge eye opener for me.

Lowside, McDonald's Parking Lot. 5-10 mph

Gear:
Helmet, leather jacket, Jeans, boots

Factors:
User error- failed to check the tire pressure (8 lbs rear, 9 lbs front). Went to check at least 3 different times, but got distracted with something else.
Only 2nd time out, less then 50 miles experience.

Damage:
Light rash on left side. Bent clutch handle

Bodily injury:
Screwed up right wrist. Watch tore into skin on left hand. Scuffed up knees. Ego.

ItwaslastAugust, and Iwas riding beyond my limits on windy country roads. I hit a patch of gravel around a blind curve and high-sided, which threw me off the bike at about 35 mph. I was fine (gear), but the bike took a bit of a beating because of an encounter witha guard rail. it still rode great, but needed new front plastics/upper cowl, and a bit of bodywork, so I decided to part it out. I have made more than I originally paid for the bike, but still have parts to sell, and couldn't get a lock on the bike I wanted this winter, so I am without for the time being. I kinda regret acting so wreckless, but I'm happy I'm ok, andconsider it avaluable experience.
