Oh dear, night shifts are deadly over time ... they completely disrupt your routine and that then affects your well being ...I hope it gets better for you .. we're meant to sleep at night and be active during the day, anything less than this is just making do ..at least you are very young because it gets worse as you get older, try to fix this pattern while still young or do something else if you can ..good luck!! :-)

Well you can always just try to fix a time to sleep. I used to work night shift and I'd go to sleep right after I got off of work. Slept from 7am till I woke up. I usually woke up when a lot of the people I know were getting off of work so it didn't really disrupt my social life much. It really made night a drag when I was off of work though since no one else was awake, but I still deal with that now.

Oh man, I've done that many times before...waking up feeling great and realizing that I have HOURS to kill.

When I was active Air Force, we used to alternate shifts every 2 months...so just when I felt fully adjusted, it was time to re-adjust. With the 3 different shifts, it was a true pain in the ***.

I have been on shift work for the past 15yrs straight. If you add my military reserve time in then it makes it 20yrs. It takes a bit, but you get use to it. Kinda.
