Default clutch

well i got 6667 miles on my baby and i heard its really easy and cheap to install a new clutch. i was wondering if anybody had and good site s or expeience in that area, that could give me any pointers that i might need. im just looking for the stock clutch nothing fansy.

Did you toast it already? You should get like 20-30k miles on a clutch I would assume.

no its not toasted by any means. but i do a crap load of drag racing. i dont wanna run into problems next midseason and have down time. if its that easy as evey one says and is only a hundred bucks. its not that big of a deal to me if its still working okay and i replace it. i will pay 100 bucks for the same feel it had when it was new. plus this was my first bike ever so it took some abuse.

I got a Haynes Manual and it has very detailed info on how to remove, inspect, and install a clutch (from just plates to full basket). I got mine off ebay for about $28 shipped. It is hard back and really full of info that you wouldn't think to ask for a DIY project.

Let me try and translate, i have a Hayne's manual also.

"It is a hardback cover book, full of excellent easy to follow instructions and information that you may not think about if you did it without any manual. They rate each do it yourself project with a difficulty level."
