You did the right thing by stopping, but could have handled it better by stopping immediately
when you hit her mirror.
Yes legally you are in the clear, but deserved the toungue lashing you got for not stopping
or at least acknowledgging to her that you had almost sideswiped her car.
That is whay lane splitting is illegal in many states.
Sometimes just slowing down to appologize is enough to get them off your a$$

 

What I'm simply trying to say is that you would have never stopped unless she chased you down. You stated she pulled up on you at a red light to get you to pull over. This shows to me that you really didnt care that you clipped her car. A simple head turn and an apologetic hand gesture (both palms up for instance) would have probably have prevented the whole thing from happening. Thats all Im pointing out.

And yes, she was retarded for doing what she did, but it all started with what you did (and didn't) do, and snowballed from there.

Now, you can rebuttal this response.........and then we can all be friends again.
