Default I got clipped :(

Nothing serious guys, someone took off my right foot peg though. It happened about a week and a half ago and I haven't replaced it yet. It's becoming very uncomfortable!! I wanted to know what exactly I have to replace...

You're looking at about $35 + shipping for an OEM replacement peg from someplace like servicehonda.com, prolly about 1/2 hr of work (mostly figuring out how to get it off / on) and dude that's not just uncomfortable.

That's dangerous

If for a second it slips your mind and you go to stand on the pegs to do a little bum lift (maybe to cross some train tracks or to go over a bump/pothole) you could end up in serious trouble!

Anyone know of a write up on replacing this? It's just like a pin through there... Not sure If I can replace just the peg. I'm very new to bikes, but I've been building Honda's (with four wheels) for years. So mechanically, I know what I'm doing... Just a new frontier!

I was in front of a group of traffic at a light and the light turned green. I started going and the car behind me thought SHE could somehow pass me in the same lane. I looked over for a split second as she was coming up from behind me, lifted my foot from the peg, and her wheel took off the peg.

She told the cops I hit her.

For some reason, both FEMALE cops believed her.

Sorry, I'm not sexist or anything, but very hard for me to understand how someone could believe I hit a car on my bike like that...

I am THE queen of spare parts (for 09). Let me know if you need it.

I am looking at the pegs on rearsets and I'm thinking.. can you unhook the spring in the middle, and take the pin off and the remaining peg should come out?

Well now you got options for parts and I doubt getting the peg off is a massive issue.

Seriously, you should consider your bike non-ridable until you replace the peg. Worse came to worse, I'd go to the dealer and pay their price if necessary. In fact I have done that when I snapped the clutch and brake lever off.

It's a cotter pin....you take that out and slide the peg holding the footpeg in place. Should take less than a minute.

And you can get new billet pegs for $35 bucks for both sides. eBay.

Any idea if 07+ will fit on my 06? If so, I'll just order some new billet ones on eBay.
