lol if the dealer lowered the sticker to 7500 and you payed 9k out the door you got taken. Im sorry but first off "freight" is a made up thing that they charge you extra for. You don't ever have to pay for it. For instance I bought my 05 F4i for 8300 after TT&L and the market for new bikes is way lower now then it was in 05.

Sure they lowered sticker for you and then just added other crap on that you didn't notice and they still made plenty off you.

And that 2 year warranty the cost of it is 100 bucks. Yup that has a cost too. I buy a 5 year extended warranty on all my bikes and I never pay more then 500 bucks for it, Why? Because cost on the 5 year is just about 375 bucks so they make some money and I get 5 years piece of mind. How much did your 2 year cost? I bet they added that on too. Not to make you feel bad but you opened up the can and they took you for a ride.

I see dealers charging for freight and setup, document processing, docs etc., on top of titling and licensing fees that the state charges. They have to make some money somewhere. I was thinking of getting another bike, but after seeing how much some of the fools are paying in interest, I think I'll hang tight for awhile. I see extended service contracts and GAP, if it is going to cost that much to keep a bike on the road, I'll do without. Some of those guys must need to spend some serious cash. Good time to buy a bike when they offer low interest for certain models. I need other things worse than a new(er) bike.

yup i have to admit that im pretty good at haggling and wheeling and dealing, my dad is a regional salesman so i probably picked some of his methods up along the way lol... 2008 cbr 1000rr brand new off the floor $6999, i apologize if this ruins anyones good self feeling for getting one in the 8000+ range. i added in the extended warranty and service plan for an extra 1000 bucks but it gives me piece of mind for maintenance and should anything go wrong with it for the next 4 years im in the clear and also it includes a new set of tires in the plan which is cool

It looks like they made up some of your savings on the motorcycle with a profit they made off you on the extended warranty. A 4-yr Honda extended warranty was and still is available on eBay for less than $400.

Also, the sub $7k price on a new 08 1kRR was the going rate at several popular dealers across the nation last fall. I bought mine for $7,283 as the inventory started going down and the prices started going back up.

ah good deal on the good price for the bike, that extra grand i paid also included the service plan and free set of tires equal to the value of stock or i just pay the difference, so all the maintenance, oil changes, valve adjustment if needed, fluids etc for the next 3 years is covered so i thought it was a good deal to throw in there
