uh oh........ this is gonna get messy....

A heads up, people will prob flame you for getting either of these as your first bike. Do you have any bike experience what so ever?? Either of these 2 bikes have enough power to get you into trouble in the blink of an eye. they definetly arent toys. Now with that being said, i started on a 600rr and i wouldnt change that. It can be done, just respect it, and dont drive it like a jackass. I have a feeling people will say get the honda over the suzuki because, well, your on a honda site. lol. But personally i'd go with the 600rr it will have WAY MORE power then what you need, and imo its much better built then the gixxer.

Flame on......

I have a mate that started out on an R1. He just didn't (and still doesn't) ride like an idiot and really respected the bike for what it is. Good luck mate and stay safe!

All I have to say is if this is your first bike and you are getting a 1000, you are a complete idiot with more ego than common sense. Make sure you buy full gear, take the MSF, and get damn good insurance. I have a feeling you are going to need it.
