I work at a pawnshop and sell guns to hunters all day. There is always this strange Deliverance/Brokeback Mountain element in all of them. Kinda creepy. But to each his own I guess...

I don't hunt myself but a few people in the family do. I love dear jerky/"hamburger"/and so on.

 

Funny youbring this up. I saw the same thing at walmart last weekend and laughed out loud. Got a few stares for that one. Thought it was so funny that I had to show my wife. She comes from a hunting background, and has seen them used, so she didn't find it as funny as I did. Apparently, it's a bit gory. (obviously)

Yeah, venison tastes great, I just don't think I couldbag one onmy own. Actually, I'm sure I could shoot it, I just wouldn'tbe ableto rip it's ******* out. Would any of you guys be able to do that?

 

They say venision is the leanest meat around but why does it always drip so much grease?

If you cook venision by boiling , broiling, or frying there's just so much fat/grease on/off it.

Am I cooking it wrong?
