around here most harleys don't wave at street bikes. i wave to them anyways though since we're both on two wheels. only time i don't wave is if i'm about to turn or i just don't see them.

Most everyone waves around central Indiana. I wave to everyone, unless I'm on one of those roads on a weekend with hundreds of riders. You know if you wave to everyone you wouldn't ever have both hands on the grips.[:@]

Hey Ebinz, I noticed you live in Reno. I have lived in Reno for the last few years too and have noticed that unless it is another street/sport bike chances are slim to none they will wave back. That's only compared to the Bay where I grew up though. BUT, I still wave as much as I can to do my part to keep the spirit alive, even to Harleys!
Sweet, havent been here long myself. good question wheree are the hot spots? biker meet ups? you know any?

I just got my bike in like April, and I am stuck with the antisocial shift at work workin friday thru monday nights so I dont know of any. Go down to BVH or Michael's they may have a clue. Tell you the truth I haven't done many rides accept the Sac 2 the Bay ride last month, too busy with other stuff. I dont even get on this forum much lately. Where do you ride/hangout?

^^ Probably because you would have to take your throttle hand off to wave...what with being on the other side of the road.

I like the idea of nodding, though. But if I do it here, people will think I am too snobby to raise my hand...guess I better just move to the Isles.
No its not taking off the throttle to wave.. still the same left arms.

I do wave but still prefer a quick nod.

Yes, of course I did and as for the roadside knowledge tests I can guarantee post the same questions to people on the streets here and
the responses would probably be much the same ..um, no, no thinking about it no one could be that dumb!! ..lol ;-)
