Default bike vs car accident, bike wins

A dude I ride with and ride with a lot, was sitting at an intersection on his Buell with his daughter on the back. He was in the straight lane with a left turn lane beside him. The left turn arrow is now green and those cars start to roll. The lady in the Saturn behind him doesn't check the light for straight but sees the cars to her left start to roll. So she leaves off the brake and hits the gas and rams into the back of the Buell. The impact, whiplash like, throws his hand off the bars. He then grabs the bars, locks the brakes and puts his feet down solid and tries to hold it up. Meanwhile the lady's saturn front bumper plastic is catching on the rear tire of the bike. She stops, pushing the bike about 5-10 feet. When she backs up the plastic bumper cover falls off her car. The bike has paint on the tire and one of the rear foot pegs...and that's it! His tire didn't explode, the rim isn't bent, the bike never went down and his daughter on the back didn't fall off onto the hood of the car. The lady is now histerical and began to cry. No one was hurt and no damage to the bike. He got her info (license insurance etc) and never gave his. We rode together yesterday for about 40 miles and all is well. It's amazing to think what couldn't happened.

If I had my daughter on the back (she has been begging me lately) and somebody rammed me...I would go to jail for fracturing every part of someone's face. I $hit you not...it's that natural instinct thing! Glad your friend and his daughter and his motorcycle are all okay!

+1 on what voodoo said. even with no bike damage, that lady would be paying my girls way through college.

That is an awesome story, love to here about bikes wining every now and then.
Glad to here everyone is okay including the crazy women who should be in the hospital (after what I would have done to her).

P.S. It wasn't really David vs. Goliath, (it was a saturn). Hehehehe
