Default Just got my bike on the road after my accident!

Well I've been out of the sport bike world for a little bit, because I high sided on my bike back in March. I went around a corner too fast and the peg dug into the ground and sent me towards the edge of the road into drainage ditch. I hit there and flipped over the bike. I landed on the grass thankfully and had my gear on. My bike smashed into a barbed wire fence. It was a really scary experience. I feel really lucky as to I only hurt my shoulder from the initial impact.

I have just recently repaired my bike and got it back on the road! It feels nice, but I'm still trying to get my confidence back. Thanks to craigslist and a member on here and a good friend I was able to fix my bike for about $200. I took it out on the maiden voyage about a week ago. I still have a few random things I need to fix but for the most part it is good. I also took the Vortex lowering link off and replaced it with stock and also adjusted the sag to fit my weight. Things I should have done in the first place.

I found a good deal from a member on here on a 04-06 rear conversion so I jumped on that since that was a majority of the parts I needed. I also found a good deal on some fairings on craigslist.

Good to hear that you're back riding. Glad the experience didn't change your mind about getting back on the horse. Also good to hear that you were able to repair your bike for very little, all things considered. Perhaps consider a set of rearset-risers as well. Just raising them up & back 1 inch can make a world of dif.

Getting the confidence back will happen with time, I think. I haven't rode at all this week after one day of riding to work last week. I am sure you will get yours back quick though.
