how did you find out your bike was stolen? I recently got that f4i, and when I was removing the tail fairing to chop my plate frame off, the key to the bike wouldn't work in the rear seat lock. I had to get the lock removed at the dealer, but now I'm a little suspicious about the bike.
if you are suspicious PM the VIN# and I'll my cop buddy check it for you. I go to him now for everything. You can also call up your local DMV office and see the VIN status, if you like waiting a hour on the phone... Carfax isn't really that good with motorbikes as I used that for the vin number on the gixxer but it wasn't updated with the theft **** on it then.

Anyhow, got some good news. The guy that was charged with possession my friend's stolen gixxer has now been arrested and charged with some more ****. Cops did a good investigation and found out he wasn't so innocent after all. They won't tell us anything more about it since it's still on going investigation (which really means the detective has too much work on his plate and the state doesn't have enough resources to close it). That being said, the DMV officer that's in charge of the bike theft recovery process has been lacking his job lately as we can never get a hold of the SOB since the police detectives have opened their investigation more than 3 weeks ago. The Cops always said that DMV is usually slow, but waiting 3 weeks to hear from a DMV officer is ridiculous. I mean he actually went to the DMV theft office multiple times, called his office many times, and still nothing. He left messages and no returns yet. The police also said they never heard from the DMV guy either... Then earlier this week my friend got a message that the DMV guy would call him on Wednesday about his bike... It's Friday and nothing yet.

DMV = suxors [:'(]
Police = roxors

Pretty sure Durham, NC has you beat... The home of the rapists, Duke, and one of the top murder cities in the US... So much crime happens over there. Actually, murder has gone down in the past year from like 140 to 139... :P
