Oh I see. So they had a salvaged frame w/title and they just swapped it out. What a bunch of douches. Did they have any other bikes that they were selling or just the one?
This is one of the many reasons why I'll only buy a bike brand new. You never know what you're going to get some of the other times. Some are legit, but others aren't.

actually, we don't even know if the frame even has a title... whats even funnier, another one of my other friends, he saw the same ad but on craigslist as the guy was trying to sell the bike for 4000. He was bragging to me about the 'good find' and then it turns out to be my other friend's stolen bike... yikes...

Its good to hear stories like that. Thats awesome, I don't know if I would have been shaking hands. After my key fit it would be hard not to bust his mouth.

this has to be the only story in the history of time that actually has a happy ending regarding a stolen bike AND a sketchy eBay auction... the odds of this happening again are like 1 in 153501232073532905821375 (trust me I calculated it... google has this thing)

im sure that is our impulsive hate towards all bike thieves, but it would have only complicated things and also tipped the guy off. better to have swat kick his door in and put an mp5 in his face and treat them like the garbage they are.

so did they find the old frame in the house? or does he have to take the bike back with the new frame?

Id get a lil upset if my bike was stolen in fact id get real upset..i had my car gutted by some punk thieves who thought my stereo was theirs. It was never recovered.

U can bet your bottom dollar that if someone lifted my RR there would be a lil payback if they were ever caught..in fact..Lo Jack for xmas....is my best xmas present ever...LOL
