Anyone been hit with a cigarette?

i live in small town, they have this produce store and every year since i can remember they have this huge orage pumpkin replica out front of the store in october. its on pallets and is made out of two by's and wire mesh and this beefed up paper machea mix. its about 12 feet wide and 12-14 foot tall.

Thats wild dude. a 12' pumpkin!! that damn thing could roll you over if you were right behind it! haha. Hope he never built a new one after that.. or else kept it in ONE effing spot!!! that could of even caused a CAR to crash!

The most annoying thing thrown from a car? A plastic grocery bag that someone in front of me tossed and proceded to melted itself to the chrome headers on my previous bike, what a mess
The scariest thing? A paving stone that fell off of a beat up old construction truck crossing the bridge between the mainland and the barrier island where I live. With a lane of traffic to the left and the edge of the bridge to the right, I got lucky that it missed as I couldn't go too far to miss it.

I agree, I have been pretty nice to people almost taking me out in a parking lot by zipping through spaces and what not. I just kind of wave and am like don't worry about it ( cuz i see it coming ). But this **** happens too often and I'm getting fed up as well. I was in a big round about the other day that is one of the most confusing round abouts i have ever encountered. I try to stay out of it because there is honestly crashes in that thing weekly! It was quite out tho well after work and rush hour and I'm cruzin through it very on guard and defensive when this guy in front of me on the other side decides he needs the other lane and jerked the wheel so hard towards me i could hear his front tires squeel a bit!. i was going slow so i almost lost my balance trying to avoid him but i revved my bike up super loud right then and got his attention ( My bike speaks for me when I'm angry 
) and then flipped my tinted visor and just stared into his mirror inches from his bumber at the next light.
I know people get carried away and in hurries in cars ( I'm guilty, We ALL are at one point ) But when your the one in open water with thousands of these idiots there mistake is YOUR life!
Lane splitting is the WORST for pissing people off!!! Its like you're the rich guy paying extra to get in the front of the line at a roller coaster. people get so damn jealous when they see that you can get to the front of traffic in a minute when they will be forced to sit there for hours!!! People cut me off all the time too as well. But like you said, I'm not racing through these people causing danger, I'm carefully and easily finding space to move forward.
This punk kid swerves out in front of me and blocks my gap and starts yelling out his window all sorts of crazy ****. traffic moves a bit so he nudges up again while I wait behind a second. since he is already bumper to bumper now and cant move i simply go left and go around his driver door and back into my lane

Earlier this morning as I was riding to work, I was on the 110 southbound right through Downtown LA (for those of you who know that strip of freeway youlll know it's not the widest and most open piece of tarmac! It's pretty narrow laned and very heavy traffic). So I'm zipping through, everyone is being nice enough.. I always like to split lanes between the first and second lane, closest to the center divider, and this other biker is splitting lanes between lane 2 and 3. I never split lanes opposite to another rider splittin lanes if i come up from behind. I wait behind him patiently and either they let me pass or they are going fast enough. I thought it was rude what that other rider did, especially on that freeway! What you guys think about this?

Well, yeah in that case passing by on the other lane is fine, but this guy came beside me splitting lanes on the other side and stuck around, I slowed to let him go on by cause that's not fair to cars, and extra dangerous for both of us.
But, yeah, i don't have a problem if someone wants to go faster than me and passes in another lane. I forgot to mention this guy was sticking around.

Man, this thread has everything from cigarette butts to bullets to giant pumkins! :-) I think b/f this thread is over, we could have just about everything! ;-) If you ride long enough, you'll prob see just about everything at one time or another.
Here's one that still makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up... It didn't hit me but came damned close! I mention it for other riders out there to be aware...b/c I see this all the time. I'm talking about MATTRESSES & BOXSPRINGS in the back of pickup trucks bouncing around & blowing out! I had a queensized mattress fly thru the air & miss me by about a car length. There's many things that come flying out of pickup trucks/construction vehicles/etc, that you can take a "hit" from & keep riding but a mattress isn't one of them! So watch out for this. If you come up behind a truck w/ these in the back...get the hell away from them as quickly as you can. They can come flying out of the back in a split second.

Yeah, haha I didn't intend for this thread to spawn off in so many ways but its cool, Lots of cool story's.
But yeah, Matress's would ruin your day! I always stay out from behind trucks when i see any type of tools, latters or construction paper blowing around that gives me reason to believe something could come out.
There's so many innocent unexpected things on the roads that could kill us so quick before we even know it! I always try to stay on guard as much as I can but every once in a while there's that ONE thing that sneaks up and gives you a little scare!

Following a tanker truck down I76 threw commerce city few years back was a ways back and watched as what looked to be a cage bolt or something drop off the rear axle bounce twice and nail me dead square in the left shin. Were not talkin a little bolt were talking like a 3/4 to 1" bolt with about a 1.5" hex head like 4" long. Hurt bad enough that i pulled off to make sure it hadnt cut me or anything was limping for a week afterwards still have a indent in my leg where it hit, kinda weird.
