So, yes it is technically 5 toes, but 13 years of a nickname/screennames/email addy die hard.
And there was no disrespect intended at all dude ... sounds like you have the riding bug like all of us and it's fantastic that you can still find a way to straighten out the curves

There is actually a amputee motorcycle group too. The web can be wonderful thing to help people with common interests

I high sided in a corner going about 30mph because i hit my brakes to hard because an animal dashed infront of me, i had a wind breaker north face on not much protection, jeans, no gloves, and timberland pros on (steel toe), I had very minor injury. Basiclly i came down on my shoulder, screamed ****! because my bike was MINT, went over to it which it slid about 100 ft, picked it up and rode it home. Scratched the boot up a little, nothing a little sanding couldnt help, ****ed the jacket up, very minor cut on my hand, scratched the helmet, but it was already primer black so i already had the paint at my house.

I dont know about you guys, but I dont give the 'hi' sign as much, riding around town, to guys on their sportbikes who dont have a helmet or any other gear on. This thread made me realize it. I totally consider them posers or just people who want to be seen, and I'll even say that THEY never give the hi sign either (because as posers they dont even know or care about this custom.) I dont bother to say hi to mobile fashion statements.

Mobile fashion statements is a good way of putting it. They are prob afraid to take both hands off to do it.

you got lucky was all my friend. The boot ya had on will work fine, I dont like em for riding nor to I like my magnums riding which would give good protection. They just seem to big n clunky, make it hard to shift compared to my sidi's. that and I dont have as much feel/feedback that I like either (I dont have those stock rubber things called pegs on my bike ).

My last bad crash I lowsided the bike dodging 2 possums and I tumbled along side the road as my bike went end over end along the ditch, up a bank, and into a fence. I had on a jean jacket, jeans, tennis shoes, no gloves, and a cheap helmet. I got rash all up my sides, bruised ribs, hands scraped all to shyt, knees rashed, and to this day still have a bad knee from the bike bouncing off of it. And by the time I hit the ground I prolly wasnt doing but about 30mph. I wear most of my gear now 99% of the tyme. On occasion I will wear jeans, but I have the rest on. I have lowsided being fully geared, know how much I was hurt after it? Nadda but my pride n ego lol. matter of fact I was laughing my *** off while I was sliding across the pavement. Gear makes a difference, trust me and everyone else preaching it. But I dont believe everyone has the right to make that choice for themselves, well except the helmet, I believe if I have to be forced to wear a seltbelt in a car, ya damn skippy every biker needs a damn helmet on their head. the rest is well your pain not mine lol.

And to those who think they are skilled enough to not every go down, well you are just delusional, it will happen when you least expect (like that quick trip a mile up the road for smokes, etc) it. Seen, done it, and you can believe what you want. The old lame saying is true, there are only 2 kinds of riders...
