Default Alternator Cover

Anybody got some tips on gettin my cover off so i can pull my POS stator out and put in a new POS thats only gonna last another 10k miles. Damn thing is on there like regina on my pee pee...the big thing wont come off the lil thing cause it likes it so much.

You talking about just the outside bolts?

If you have a 1k, there may be 2 bolts coming down as well, but not sure. Usually they just come off. You can use a cordless drill and a bit extension so you dont have to do them by hand

Just use a rubber mallet and hit it really really hard. j/k. I did use a rubber malet and tap mine to break the gasket loose.

yeah, i took out all the bolts and pulled...nothing happened. it doesnt have any bolts going down, at least thats what the service manual says. i guess i gotta try the rubber mallet approach. in the book is says that the stator is on the fly wheel with magnets or something...u think that could be it?
