954 vs. 1000rr
aight guys, i need to clear something up. some dudes from another forum were saying that the 954rr was faster and lighter than the 1000rr. is this true?!!! i tried to ask where he got that info from but i couldn't really get a clear answer. that would be very disappointing if it were true.

a...no it is not true....wouldn't make a lot of sense for honda to build a new model sport bike that is slower and heavier than its predecessor, they wouldn't sell very many....as far as i know, the 06 1krr is the lighest, highest hp/torque, and fastest liter bike honda has ever made...

so here's the other post that the same member said. this is after i asked him where he got his info, and y the hell would honda upgrade instead of downgrade:
this is what i found:
Honda's claimed numbers for this powerplant combination are a maximum 154 horsepower at 11,250 rpm and 77.7 foot pounds of torque at 9,500 rpm. Healthy numbers in anyone's book. Of course, California market machines wear the requisite evaporative canister, catalyzer and tweaked mapping and are down a whopping one horsepower. They meet 2004 emissions standards today and deserve a green halo award or similar accolade. (also i found that it weighed 370 lbs)
46 more cc's and only 1hp doesnt sound much of an upgrade to me!
