Default Will 06-07 cbr 1000rr exhausst fit an 05 cbr 1000rr?

Hey everyone I've been on the site for a little while, but still a noob to whole game. I recently sold my 929 and picked up a 05 CBR 1000rr. I wanted to put Akrapovic Full exhaust on it so, I emailed Akrapovic and they said they stopped production for that year.
Ok, got it. Searching other brands like Yoshimura full exhaust and they fit 04-07. What gives? So I looked up OEM parts and the numbers are different, but nearly the same design. So, I called Honda US and they said they couldn't disclose that information. Lame! Searching this site I've had no luck. Saw a post on another site and someone said it would work, and of course I can't find anything else to confirm it. I know there are small changes between the years, as everyone else, I'm looking for solid info before I drop 1500 and some change only to find out it won't work.
Any information would greatly be appreciated.
If I can't find out if those years are interchangeable then I would like to find a system that has a deeper sound to it. Youtube has poor sound clips or the dude has the bike in the garage which completely changes the sound.
LeoVince seems to sound deep, but again no good sound clips. If you know where one could find some good sound clips, please post it.

Thanks in advance

Justin

sound clips are very subjective. You have to consider the camera taking the video, the way in which they uploaded it, your own sound system on your computer. You really can't get a good idea of what a pipe sounds like. If you had the same person doing all of the different clips with all the same equipment, you could tell the differences between each pipe, but still not be able to tell what it actually sounded like in person.

As for the issue. I believe 04-07 will fit, no matter what the aftermarket. If it fits 04-05, it fits 06-07. I can't see any reason why Ackrapovic would be different than other companies as all other companies list 04-07 for their systems. I know your looking for 100 percent conformation, but I can only tell what I think. If it was and I truly wanted that system, I would buy it. But I like the raspier exhaust, so my yoshimura works for and I never had to make that choice. The only thing I can think of is they tuned the pipe on the 06-07. The 04-05 is basically the same engine, but has some minor changes internally. So I wonder since they didn't test the pipe on the 04-05, they don't want to suggest using it. I can't imagine its a fitment issue. Also, since its a full system, you will have to get tuned anyway. There shouldn't be any issue. But since they didn't tune the pipe for that bike, they probably don't want to spend the R&D time to verify it will work on a bike they probably won't sell many pipes for. The prime selling for a 6 year old bike is long gone for them.

The reason the oem part numbers are different is because in 06, they changed the muffler tip design and lightened the system a bit. But dimensionally, they are the same and are interchangable.

If you are looking for a deep tone, the ackrapovic is probably the best choice as Im sure you've done your research. But, what ever pipe you buy, the material will make a big difference as well. Carbon fiber will have a deeper less raspy tone to it. Stainless and titanium will be a bit louder and raspier.

If I was in your shoes, I'd but the yoshimura full system carbon fiber. Its nearly the same design, (Akrapovic copied from Yoshimura) and its a lot cheaper. The quality of the yoshimura is really good. they are a bit louder, but with the carbon fiber, I would imagine you'd be happy. But Im pretty sure the acrapovic will fit.

Thank you for the advice. I didn't know carbon fiber would give you a less raspy sound, but makes total sense how it would work like that.

Thanks again for the info
