So if they're putting 10% ethanol in at the pump, are getting gas 10% cheaper/gal than the stations who don't use it?

As for the marine applications, if your fiberglass fuel tank was made with polyester resin, then the ethanol would eat it up turning it into a jelly. When it went through the fuel system it instantly varnished everything clogged filters and injectors. Also because it mixes with water so readily, the standard fuel water separators couldn't do their job, and let lots into the engine screwing things up. Small engines like weed whackers and lawn mowers suffer because you hardly ever use the whole tank of fuel, also your fuel cans sit for long periods of time. Ethanol goes bad within a few months.
As you can tell, I really really don't like ethanol.
