Default 10% ethanol

anyone else seen this at local gas stations? noticed yesterday that a Wawa in my area (only this one has it, none of the others i've been to) has a sign now taped to all the pumps that said "contains up to 10% ethanol".

Federal regulation on gas for cars is that it can only contain up to 10% ethanol. This is on almost all the pumps at large gas chains, like sheetz, wawa, kangaroo, etc. This doesnt mean it is absolutely that much, but that is the limit. This is safe for your motor andshouldnt cause any problems.

No problem Jaynd, I knew the regulation before I started seeing those stickers, but as big as they are they really throw you for a loop.

In Hawaii the state mandated that all the fuel sold here be 10% ethanol. This stuff sucks!! Power loss was detectable, gas mileage dropped. Because this stuff is so bad for boats, the marine industry lobbies against the state and was able to have non-ethanol sold at boat harbors. So now I fuel up there every other tank. I can feel the difference from tank to tank. Check the link below.
