Dear Friends, my name is Philipstargate or just call me Stargate living in UGANDA, Africa... I just got a Honda CBR 900rr model 98! It's my first ride. Owner kwo it so very well, no scratch... I drive manual cars and I have driven Bajaj motorcycles of 100cc.
I am going to keep the Bike indoors doing some practice for the next couple of months, and occasionally try out on the road... Guys said if I keep below 5Revs fat would be great... I need any pro tips I can get my hands on... kinda trying not get my *** crushed... thanks guys...

 

It's a very fast bike, so keeping it below 5000 RPM is a good idea until you get used to the power.

Where can I get the MSF course here in Uganda or East Africa.... any ideas. I live in Uganda

 

Good luck with the bike. That is a VERY fast bike so you will definitely want to keep it under control for quite a while until you are very comfortable with how it handles and where the power band is. I rode one the year they came out and found myself doing 130 mph without even thinking about it on a local freeway in the California Bay Area. Realized that I would probably lose my license if I bought one.

As far as MSC goes, check with the local police and the licensing bureau. If anyone knows and if a course is offered they should be able to point you in the right direction.

 

The MSF is US based, but I would think there would be some private course... Keep it slow until you get used to the power and weight. No one talks about how different the weight feels from a scooter or smaller bike to the fireblade, but it's also a factor along with the engine. You can't force it and manipulate it like you can a tiny scooter.

Welcome to the site. Big step up there but it really comes down to responsibility. The second you start to get too comfortable is the second these machines will put you in check. Work you way up and realize you got 120 horsepower on a 400 pound machine. They are beasts. Everything is just going to be mulitplied exponentially on this bike coming from a scooter. Taker easy and you should be alright friend. Ride safe and wear your gear.
