Default someone help cbr 125 question

I just bought a cbr 125 a couple months ago only been on the road a couple of times with it. I love the bike it's light weight and I only weigh 105 pounds at 5'6 so I'm a small person. I'm not really comfortable on the bike it seems really hard to change gears on it. It's very jerk when I do change gears nothing smooth a all about it. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem with it or is it just me but I really have to slam it in to gear so I don't hang between gears. Maybe this isn't the kind of bike for me I took the course passed no problems changing gears on the bike I trained on was great very smooth but this one isn't can someone help.

I am not sure if it is a mechanical problem or not. However, check your oil and make sure there is enough, as it is a wet clutch. My feeling is that you're probably letting your clutch out alittle too quickly as you change gears, which causes the jerkiness of the ride. Get a feel for the friction zone, and let your clutch out alittle slower as you ride. Pulling on the throttle alittle bit as the clutch is let out also helps smooth the transition between gears. Hope this helps!

Welcome to the site dragonlady. Your new bike will sift quite differently than the well worked in bikes at the course. Give it some time an practice and you'll have it down in no time. Like EHonda said play with the friction zone and try to keep things slow and smooth tell you get on to it and remember to roll off the throtle. There is a 125 section in the forum, it may also help to talk to other owners of you bike.

Hey thanks for the advice I've been doing all that but seem to still have problems. I think I just need more practice and break it in. I think it's just me having a hard time adjusting to it.
