Rattley when cold

Default Rattley when cold

Have just purchased my 95 cbr600f and when starting cold it has a rattle in the engine like a servo clicking in or something it goes for a few seconds then quiet for 10 seconds then back in for a few seconds the same time there all the time and the same time in between it doing it but not there after reaching normal temps just wondered if this is normal or any ideas

I Can`t help on the noise sorry, But welcome here. Noises are difficult as it is never mind trying to translate what they are from words to.

Welcome to the board.... noises are difficult, especially since you just took over ownership of the bike. It could be any number of things.... does it go away when you pull in the clutch? Go over the bike and check to see if anything could be loose... heat shielding maybe. Once the bike warms up, the heat shield might expand and stop the noise and so on. It'll take some trouble shooting to narrow it down.

haven't had the noise problem again went for a squirt on it today and stretched it's legs and let me say I am very f 878cking happy its awesome I love it its a very tight bike and rides like new got a few people jealous about how I found it so I better keep it locked up does any one know any other ausies on this forum,
