Default Picked Up 06 1000rr!!

Just picked up my new bike tonight,I got a smoking deal from dell Honda in Blue Springs, Missouri. 8600 OTD. for a brand new 06' 1000rr. I'll post pics when I get a chance, but it's just a stock black 1000rr right now so not any pics you guys can't see elsewhere. Thanks for the welcomes and I'm sure I'll get a lot of useful info from you guys.

Caleb

I went out to ride tonight with a couple of friends, one of them had just bought a new 07 R1 right before I got my 1000rr. So much for taking it slow for break in, . We took off side by side a couple of times but no serious races. I'm sure we will soon enough, just didn't happen tonight. I actually had a pretty hard time keeping the nose down in 2nd gear. He keeps bragging on his R1, this and that and that and this. I just saidregardless of which Bike is faster, it's gonna come down to ride 99% of the time. Plus I paid 8600 OTD for mine and he paid 11000 OTD for his, he's got a awesome bike but no way in my mind worth the extra 2400 dollars. Even if price was the same, I'd still get the 1000rr. What do you guys think about breaking the bike in hard? I've heard many mixed opinions on this, thanks.

Welcome to the site. Post up some pics of your ride!

As for break in, I went with nothing real extreme until after 500 miles, then change the oil and ride it the way you're gonna ride it. Just be careful, still a lot of debris and crap left over from winter. Ride safe.
